Crafted from a Cotton Traders sample coat, the Check Gilet reinterprets classic tailoring into a modern, versatile layer. The original lapels form a sculpted neckline that skims the collarbone, while the coat’s buttonholes, buttons, and pockets are preserved for both function and character.

Its fastening can be styled in two ways—closed neatly at the outside or buttoned on the inside for a cleaner silhouette. The back panel, sourced from a second-hand coat once used for costume, adds another chapter to its story of reuse and reinvention.
