Sizing and Fit Guide

Each piece in our collection is one of a kind — shaped by the fabric it once was, not by a standard block or conventional size chart. That means sizing can be fluid. We don’t think in terms of rigid numbers, but in how a garment feels when worn: easy, snug, roomy, or oversized.

How to Read Our Size Descriptions

Rather than assigning a fixed UK size (like 8, 10, or 12), we describe the fit in general terms — such as: “Best suited to sizes 8–10. Will fit a UK 6 as an oversized piece or a UK 12 more snugly.”

This helps you get a feel for how the garment might wear on different body shapes.

We always include key flat measurements in each product listing so you can compare against your own clothing or body to assess fit more precisely.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft tape measure and wear something close-fitting. Measure against your body, not over bulky clothes.

  • Shoulders: Measure straight across the back from shoulder tip to shoulder tip.
  • Bust: Around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and relaxed.
  • Waist: The narrowest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button.
  • Hips: The widest part of your hips/bottom.
  • Sleeve length: From the shoulder seam down to your wrist.
  • Garment length: From the top of the shoulder (or neckline) down to the hem.

You can also compare our garment’s flat measurements to something similar you already own.
